Terratone is an atypique psytrance organisation, mostly dedicated to the production and performance of music, video, decoration and much more : a Visionary Art Collective.
The crew members are sailing on the visionary seas of consciousness and encompass a wide variety of talents : Visual Jockeys (VJ), Decoration artists, DJ's, Conference and Workshop lecturers, Video directors, Audio producers...
Over the last years, the Teratone spaceship has been seen mainly in psychedelic festivals around the world, but some witnesses also mention various cultural areas, artistic workshops and scientific conferences.
They combine strong professionalism with a good dose of humour and smile, into an expanded vision of life & art. Their main cre-active engine is based on a comitment, collaboraton and a lot of fun. This resulted in original hybridations such as video-deco installations and audio-visual performance.
History of Teratone :
Teratone is an association that was born in 2000. Mostly dedicated to music and sound system culture comming from England, it started with hard-tekno and hardcore. Teratone quickly moved into event organisation and discovered video and decoration in 2003.
Little by little, Teratone members changed their mind by participating in big psytrance party in Japan and Switzerland. Wanting to follow this path, some of them decided to create an humble band dedicated to psy audio and video works.
2005 was the creation of the psytrance division with its famous vj-team Tvision. This trend grew bigger and bigger : this same year, teratone took part in big internationnal event with Rhythm of Peace in Morocco. The networking and website never stop growing, and new members start pouring into teratone like the vj team homeostasys, Professor M, and lots of interesting people. At the same time, they realized the importance of well being, mind expansion, workshop, conferences in psychedelic party and everyday life.
An old friend Psygana invasion came back in 2007, thrilled by the project, he started is psychedelic decoration work.
In 2009 while the psytrance side alive and kicking, the tekno part was shrinking. The lasts pure tekno members left Teratone to two others tekno associations. For the psytrance side of teratone, it's the start.
The future is very promising! Solid networking and serious collaboration on the radar, AV Live in the pipeline, and new members on the horizon, Teratone has still a lot more to deliver.
